The Challenge
The brief was to establish Oman as an adventure tourist destination and Muscat as a gateway to adventure, whilst also enhancing leisure facilities available to residents.
Our Approach
We were asked to design a world class indoor adventure centre that would establish Oman internationally as an adventure destination. Working with our architecture associates we developed a concept with several world firsts and world records and through detailed feasibility work established its viability. We backed this up with extensive market research, carried out face to face across the GCC.

The Outcome
The concept design and business case was accepted by the OMRAN board and significant development funding allocated. VX MD Steve Jones was tasked with leading project implementation, with design and business planning moving into a detailed phase. Unfortunately the collapsing oil price led Oman to reassess its investment program and the project was put on hold.
