In 2003, Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council appointed Oak as its preferred developer for a £270m leisure and tourism development known as ‘The YES! Project’. Hailed as the largest indoor leisure development in Europe, YES! will regenerate 320 acres (130 hectares) of brownfield land near the Rother Valley Country Park, Rotherham, close to Junction 31 of the M1.
YES! will feature an extreme sports centre, major indoor entertainment facilities, four star resort spa and conference hotel, golf range, restaurants, bars, cafes, features and festival retailing.
