Retail
Venture Xtreme will include at least 10,000 m2 of
high quality retail space with niche shops linked to each of the
extreme sports. This truly specialist shopping experience will
offer adventure sports enthusiasts an unparalleled choice
including shops focusing on climbing and outdoor activities,
lifestyle and surfing, diving, skating and bikes.
There will also be map, book and travel shops.
Venture Xtreme will offer lifestyle retailers such as
O’Neil, Quicksilver and Billabong an opportunity to mix with
adventure specialists such as North Face,
Hotel and Accommodation
Venture
Xtreme will incorporate overnight accommodation to suit all
tastes and budgets. There will be a 3 star themed ‘sports hotel’
and a 4 star conference hotel aimed at corporate users and those
who are less price conscious. Where
the location allows, guests could alternatively stay in low cost
hostel accommodation, on a campsite or hire a self-catering
chalet; all environmentally friendly and built of natural
materials that blend into their surroundings to re-enforce the
sustainable philosophy of the Venture Xtreme brand.
Food and Beverage
Venture Xtreme will incorporate a range of themed venues for
eating, drinking and socialising.
Each will benefit from spectacular views into and over
the various adventure sports arenas to make them dramatic and
exciting. There will be at least 5,000 m2 of
carefully positioned space for juice bars, health food bars,
pubs and clubs, cafés, bistros and restaurants. The focus will
be on good, healthy and wholesome food. Venture Xtreme is a
place to be healthy, fit and ‘green’: lifestyle qualities that
are important to most extreme sports enthusiasts.
Adjoining the snow room will be an ‘ice bar’. During the day this fully themed venue, with the UK’s first real ice bar, will be a place for parents to have a coffee or perhaps a hot mulled wine as they watch their children enjoy playing in the snow. In the evenings the bar will be a fully licensed party bar with glasses made of ice and the ‘big kids’ will be allowed to throw a few snow balls!
Residential
Residential opportunities will be available at some Venture Xtreme sites. Depending on the planning context and the characteristics of the location, the developments will incorporate new homes for sale and rent. Extreme sports fans are renowned for their dedication so living within walking distance of 30 world class adventure sports, plus the other shopping and leisure amenities within Venture Xtreme, would be an obvious lifestyle choice. With membership opportunities and special access to launches, events, competitions and premiers, the homes will be in high demand.
