Philosophy
Venture Xtreme will promote active healthy lifestyles focusing on enjoyment, adventure and quality experiences. Each centre will be a destination venue where experts, adrenaline junkies, families and novices alike can come and try, practice and become proficient in many different and exciting adventure sports. Visitors will also be able to shop, eat and stay in the quality accommodation offered, but the focus will always be clearly on excellent world class sports provision and training. Venture Xtreme will not be a glorified shopping mal, theme park or centre for one off thrill rides; it is a centre that will thrive on repeat visits from a loyal and dedicated customer base
A Visionary Venue
Venture Xtreme is committed to contemporary design and the creation of visionary and iconic buildings. The developments and associated outdoor activity areas will also be carefully integrated into their environment, especially where there are sensitive issues to address. The complexes will provide a dramatic setting for the explosion of high energy activities and events that take place within them, with bright and stunning spaces that will thrill and excite. In keeping with the aspirations of many of our visitors, Venture Xtreme centres will also respect our environment and they will meet the highest possible sustainability standards.
Venture Xtreme will cater for 1.25 million adventure activity users a year and in the region of 5 million additional partners, spectators, parents and other visitors who will enjoy all of the alternative retail and catering facilities of the centre.
Depending on the location, a Venture Xtreme complex could extend to 50,000 m2 of internal floor space, including shopping, eating and drinking, a broad mix of leisure uses and overnight accommodation plus, of course, at least 10,000 m2 dedicated to adventure sports. Each Venture Xtreme centre will be unique. The precise scale of commercial uses and the mix of sporting activity will depend on its location, the particular assets of the site, the amount of available land and other competing facilities. It could suit an appropriate urban location of 4 to 6 hectares or be applied to a large site in a semi-rural area that needs regeneration. These locations – where within reason the space could be unlimited – would be ideal for an enlarged ‘outdoor’ offer that animates and promotes natural features and provides opportunities for sustainable landscape management. In many instances ‘brownfield’ sites will provide an ideal context for these new centres.
Our mission is to create six centres throughout the UK, and we are currently working on a number of sites. Each Centre will tailor a package of activities selected from the extensive menu of sports and commercial opportunities available, the key ones of which are described on this website. Creating vibrant and bustling extreme Sport Zones at the heart of each project, is the key ingredient that will make Venture Xtreme so distinctive.
